Melbourne, Australia – Wallabies utility back Kurtley Beale will miss the last two matches of the Melbourne Rebels' Super 15 rugby season because of injury.

Rebels medical staff said Tuesday that Beale will not accompany the team to South Africa, where it will play the last matches of the regular season, because of “soreness.”

Beale went into last weekend's match against the Queensland Reds with bruised ribs after previously returning from a shoulder injury to play in Australia's third test against Wales.

Injured Wallabies flyhalf James O'Connor will also miss the Rebels' trip to South Africa. – Sapa-AP
