Johannesburg – Blue Bulls players Morne Steyn and Morne Mellett will appear before the judicial officer Louis Booyse in Pretoria on Tuesday after they were cited for foul play, the SA Rugby Union (Saru) announced on Monday.

The two players were cited for foul play in their Currie Cup semi-final clash against the Sharks in Durban on Saturday.

Mellett was cited for a tip-tackle on Sharks flyhalf Patrick Lambie in the 29th minute of the match.

Steyn has been charged for tackling an opponent dangerously with a stiff arm. – Sapa
