Sydney – Queensland Reds' Wallaby prop James Slipper has been suspended for three weeks for making a lifting tackle in a Super Rugby clash last weekend, the Sanzar judiciary said on Monday.
Slipper pleaded guilty to the charge after being cited for the incident during the Reds' 44-14 loss to the Blues in Auckland last Friday.
“Given the player's excellent disciplinary record, his good character and in recognition of his early plea of guilty I reduced the six-week suspension to three weeks,” Sanzar duty judicial officer Adam Casselden said in a statement.
Slipper was suspended from all forms of the game up to and including May 24. – Sapa-AFP
