Toulon want to see Springbok winger Bryan Habana make his French Top 14 debut next weekend despite the player being on international duty with the Springboks.
Habana, signed by the European champions in the summer, was expected to make his Toulon bow in October once his Rugby Championship commitments ended.
But the four-nation tournament, which also involves New Zealand, Australia and Argentina, takes a two-week break next weekend and Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal said he'd like to see Habana play against Grenoble in the Top 14 on August 31.
“There's a window when he does not have a match, when you would hope he can play for his club. We will ask permission for this,” said Boudjellal. – AFP
