Australia – Fresh off a confidence boosting victory over the defending Super Rugby champions last weekend, the Stormers will be seeking another vital win when they take on the Western Force, at nib Stadium, in Perth, on Saturday.

The Stormers ousted the Waratahs 32-18 less than a week ago, and backline coach Robbie Fleck said his charges would need to perform at a high level to overcome their second Australian opponents in as many weeks.

“It was a vital win, one of our best, but we need to back it up this week against the Force – who are a tough team to beat, especially at home,” said Fleck.

“To come home with 10/11 points would really make it a successful tour ahead of three important games back in South Africa (two of them at home) before our next bye (in mid-May).”

The victory over the Waratahs could not have come at a better time according to Fleck.

“We’ve always had a great mood in our camp, but obviously things are especially good after our win over the Waratahs.”

Looking ahead to the challenge of facing the Force on their home turf, Fleck said the Force could not be underestimated.– ANA
