CAPE TOWN – Rugby fans came out in their numbers to watch the DHL Stormers train at Elsies River RFC on Tuesday. A big crowd were there as the Stormers arrived for their afternoon session and were met with cheers.

President of the Western Province Rugby Football, Thelo Wakefield, addressed the crowd ahead of the training session and thanked the people for their support.

“I am from Elsies River and matriculated from Elsies River High School which is so well represented here today, so I am very pleased that we were able to bring the Stormers here to connect with their supporters.

“Our rallying call is ‘We Stand Together’ and we want to show the different communities that the Stormers appreciate their support,” he said. Stormers captain Siya Kolisi also thanked those that had turned out for their support ahead of their clash with the Jaguares on Saturday.

Head coach Robbie Fleck will announce his team for the match on Thursday.
