Johannesburg – Bulls scrumhalf Piet van Zyl will not be able to take on his former Cheetahs teammates in a Super Rugby fixture at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday as he is still suffering from a knee injury picked up on his side's recent Australasian tour, the Bulls management said on Tuesday.

Van Zyl will miss another week of Super Rugby action as he recovers from his MCL injury, Bulls team doctor Org Strauss said.

Prop Werner Kruger, who left the field in the Bulls' last tour match against the Western Force, will train on Wednesday but only in order to assist the recovery of his back injury, Strauss said.

Lock forward and captain Flip van der Merwe, who is still under suspension, will be another to miss the match on Saturday.– Sapa
