Bloemfontein – Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské has made several changes to the side to face the Brumbies in a Super Rugby clash in Canberra on Saturday (kick off 10:40, SA time).
Springboks Willie le Roux (fullback) and Coenie Oosthuizen (prop) are making their return after being rested last week in accordance with the agreement with SA Rugby.
Scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius, who missed the first two games of the tour because of the birth of his second son in Bloemfontein, has joined the tour. He will be playing from the bench with Tian Meyer in the starting line-up.
Centre Johann Sadie has recovered from flu, which made him a last minute withdrawal last week in Hamilton, and will take his place in the midfield together with Francois Venter. They are replacing Ryno Benjamin and Michael van der Spuy.
Willie Britz moves from flanker to number eight and Boom Prinsloo will be wearing the number 7 jersey.
Locks Carl Wegner and Steven Sykes, hookers Torsten van Jaarsveld and Stephan Coetzee, and props Danie Mienie and BG Uys switch places.
Loose forward Tienie Burger is new on the bench. He replaced Oupa Mohoje on tour, who returned home after suffering from a groin injury.
The Cheetahs, who suffered a 37-27 defeat at the hands of the Chiefs in Hamilton last weekend, have lost loose forward Jean Cook (abdominal muscle injury). He has returned home and Carel Greeff joined the team earlier this week.
