Bafana Bafana are now ranked 58th in the world.

Bafana Bafana have continued their downward spiral in the Fifa World Rankings, dropping another two places to 58th when the latest list was released on Wednesday.

Having missed out on qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), which was concluded at the weekend, the SA men's side also fell two positions to 10th among African countries.

It is the national team's worst overall ranking since September 2010.

Zambia, who won the Afcon title, climbed 28 places up the rankings to 43rd, and fourth on the continent.

Mali and Gabon, surprise semi-finalists, also soared up the list.

The Malians rose 25 positions to 44th – fifth in Africa – and the Gabonese, the highest climbers, jumped 46 places to 45th, lifting themselves to sixth in Africa.

Bafana, who have won only one of their last seven official matches, did not play a game during the latest ranking period.

They face Senegal in their next match in Durban on February 29. – Sapa

Pitso is an idiot. Everytime he speaks he sounds more and more like an idiot. Analyse his statements and answers, he doesnt say anything new. Get a coach who is actually a coach and can think like one, not just some dude who can blab and ramble off stuff he learnt in coaching courses. IDIOT.
