Johannesburg – Bafana Bafana have received an offer of help from a rather unexpected source.

Controversial dating website for married people, AshleyMadison.com, is offering Safa R9.83 million to replace Puma as the team’s kit sponsor.

Founder of the controversial site, Noel Biderman, has sent a letter of intent to Safa boss Danny Jordaan, although he admits to not having heard back from the soccer body.

Puma last month announced that they would terminate their sponsorship deal of Bafana Bafana with immediate effect following a match fixing scandal.

And scandal is exactly what AshleyMadison.com are looking for.

“As the CEO of the world’s largest married dating site I represent millions of married men who have found that their relationship no longer offers them the excitement and pleasure they yearn for,” the sponsorship offer reads. “Sportsmen are famous for their cheating ways and we feel linking our dating site with this impressive club’s performance historically and tying in to its future will create a powerful partnership.”

Bafana Bafana fans may argue that they, too, don’t experience the excitement and pleasure they yearn for when watching the national team, but the offer is one that Safa seem unlikely to consider seriously. Although, ‘playing away from home’ would take on a whole new meaning if they did.

Just saying. – IOL
