Cape Town – Bafana Bafana went into the half-time break trailing Nigeria 2-0 in group A's final round of fixtures of the African Nations Championship in Cape Town on Sunday.

Christantus Ejike opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, before Ifeanyi Ede scored the second – from the penalty spot – eight minutes later.

South Africa must avoid defeat to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
