Bafana unchanged in Fifa rankings

Bafana Bafana retained their 68th place in the latest Fifa World Rankings released on Wednesday.

The national side went unbeaten in two matches during the latest rankings period.

They drew 1-1 against Botswana in a World Cup qualifier in Gaborone and defeated Gabon 3-0 in an international friendly in Nelspruit.

Bafana also remained in 14th position among African countries.

World champions Spain, who retained their European title at the weekend, stretched their gap at the top of the global rankings, and Ivory Coast continued to hold top spot in Africa. They are ranked 16th overall. – Sapa
