DURBAN –Bafana Bafana midfielders Kagisho Dikgacoi and Lerato Chabangu have been ruled out of South Africa’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations encounter against Angola on Wednesday, coach Gordon Igesund said on Tuesday.

Dikgacoi, a starter during Bafana Bafana’s disappointing goalless draw against Cape Verde in the tournament opener, has a recurring knee problem which has flared up, while Chabangu, who came on as a second half substitute, has sustained a groin problem.

“Both won’t be part of the squad due to their injuries,” Igesund said.

“It’s unfortunate, whenever a player is injured, it’s a blow.

“But we have enough depth in the team and have to get on with it.”
