Cape Town - Cape Town soccer superstar Benni McCarthy has scored a new wife.

This time the legendary Bafana Bafana striker exchanged vows with Scottish model Stacey Munro in Scotland.

Benni, 36, did however make sure his close relatives and friends flew in for the lavish wedding in Edinburgh on Saturday.

Sources say he also sported a kilt, as is tradition at Scottish weddings.

The former Orlando Pirates and Blackburn Rovers player seems to have scored off the field with his lovely new bride - who he also has a child with.

Stacey is the tall blonde beauty who red-carded Benni’s bachelor boy days and is now keeping him safely on the bench with her.

Last week Benni’s brother Jerome McCarthy told a local football website he would be leaving on Wednesday to join his brother at the wedding.

This is the second time Benni is tying the knot.

In 2007, while at Blackburn Rovers, he and his Spanish wife Maria Jose-Santos filed for divorce.

Benni and Maria were together for seven years and have three daughters.

Back then Benni told a South African weekend paper: “We are still very good friends.”

But Benni gave married life another try, and celebrated in style.

Carolyn Baxter, who was a guest at the wedding, tweeted: “Craig and I at Stacey and Benni McCarthy’s wedding. The most amazing day filled with fireworks, champagne, amazing food and dancing till my legs fell off.”

She posted a photograph showing a lavishly decorated room filled with white roses.
