Hosting of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations is projected to cost South Africa R400 million, according to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) chief executive Mvuzo Mbebe.

Mbebe was speaking at the LOC press briefing in Johannesburg on Friday.

The final costs of the event will be agreed upon next month after a meeting with the Government's treasury department. – Sapa
