London – Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero will not be punished for an ugly-looking challenge on Chelsea's David Luiz in the FA Cup semi-finals, the Football Association said Monday.
The Argentina striker collided with Luiz late in City's 2-1 win at Wembley on Sunday, putting the studs of both boots down the defender's back.
Luiz said he had forgiven Aguero but called on him to admit the challenge. The FA said it would not take further action.
Referee Chris Foy said in his report that he had seen the incident and gave Chelsea a free kick. – Sapa-dpa
