Fifa President Sepp Blatter used his time in SA to defend his organisations decision to award Qatar and Russia WC hosting rights.

Fifa President Sepp Blatter has used the official closing of the World Cup in South Africa to defend his organisation's decision to award future tournaments to first-time hosts Russia and Qatar.

Speaking at Soccer City, the venue for the 2010 final, Blatter said: “We shall go to new territories.”

He added: “Don't speak about money. This (the future World Cups) has nothing to do with money. It has to do with football development.”

Blatter also said there will be a $100 million fund for football development in South Africa, but says $20 million has already been spent on the South African Football Association's new headquarters and part of the organising of the tournament. – Sapa-AP

It appears that FIFA had already decided Russia and Qatar were getting the world prior to the vote when one listens to that dodgy character Blatter . The rest of the world should boycott all FIFA activities and start a new organisation which is not driven by greed and corruption
