Durban – He burnt incense and called on his ancestors while holding a small grass basket and shaking the bones, blowing and sneezing and finally throwing them on the floor.

Sundowns will be crowned champions, vumani bo! syavuma! vumani bo!

That’s according to Durban sangoma Hloniphani Nzama who threw the bones to answer South Africa’s most-asked football question regarding tonight’s game between Sundowns and Zamalek.

The bones showed that Masandawana would be crowned champions of African football.

The bones predicted a goal-less draw, which means Sundowns will be champions by winning 3-0 on aggregate.

But, the bones rolled some more and revealed something else.

“My bones indicate there will be intimidation before the game starts. They (Zamalek) have consulted their own traditional healer and they are using strong muti which will pull them (Sundowns) down, it will be war,”he said.

The Brazilians will have to withstand the deafening noise and intimidation from an 86 000-strong home crowd.

Sundowns beat Zamalek three times in a row this season alone.

Commentators speculate the Egyptians will be overwhelmed by Sundowns, based on the fact that the Brazilians are leading by three goals already. Others say it’s far from over. Zamalek is known as the ox who cannot be defeated in its kraal.
