Giants drawn together in Nedbank Cup

Johannesburg – Premiership giants Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates were drawn to face each other in the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup, when the draw took place in Johannesburg on Thursday.

The fixture was the first to be drawn, before defending champions Kaizer Chiefs were pitted at home to face SuperSport United in a second mouth-watering, all-Premiership, clash.

Elsewhere, African Warriors – the only National First Division side still left in the competition – will take on Maritzburg United at home, while Bloemfontein Celtic were handed a home tie with Wits.
