Johannesburg - The MultiChoice Diski Challenge (PSL reserve league) festival scheduled for Seshego Stadium on the weekend of October 8 has been moved to Kanyamazane Stadium in the Mpumalanga.

The move was necessitated by the fact that the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane failed to meet the minimum standard requirements as set by the PSL. These requirements are a pre-condition for stadiums to host MDC festivals.

The PSL has confirmed that dates, fixtures and kick-off times will remain the same.

PSL head of Stadium Logistics, Ronnie Schloss explained: “We are sad to announce that the Seshego Stadium has not been approved because it does not meet the minimum PSL requirements. We would like to apologise to the people of Polokwane and the Limpopo Province as we would have loved to host the festival in that province for the first time but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, it could not be possible.

“We have now shifted our focus to Kanyamazane and we are looking forward to an exciting festival there. Last season, we hosted a successful festival at that venue and the fact that Kanyamazane Stadium already hosts National First Division matches made it a natural choice for us.”

Tickets will be available for free at all TicketPro outlets in Mpumalanga. Upon producing your green bar-coded or Smart card South African identity document, you will be issued two tickets per person. The PSL will advise on ticket availability in due course.
