Croatia_fans2 AFP Croatian fans have heaped trouble on their FA with racist behaviour at Euro 2012.

Warsaw – The Croatian Football Federation broke the €100,000 barrier for fines on Tuesday after Uefa slapped a €30,000 penalty on them for the behaviour of their fans at their final Euro 2012 group game against Spain.

The Croatians – who were fined €80,000 earlier in the tournament for racist taunts aimed at Italy's Mario Balotelli during their group game – were held to account for the supporters unfurling racist banners and letting off flares during the match which ended in a 1-0 defeat to Spain and saw them exit the tournament.

Their Portuguese counterparts were fined €7,000 for one of their fans trying to invade the pitch during the 1-0 win over Czech Republic in the quarter-finals. – Sapa-AFP
