Cesc Fabregas has been involved in an alleged training ground bust-up with one of Chelsea’s promising youngsters.

The Spain midfielder reacted angrily after Charly Musonda flicked the ball over his head before nutmegging him in training.

Fabregas then unleashed a heavy challenge on the 19-year-old that sparked a melee among the players. Words were also exchanged between the pair.

The incident occurred last Wednesday, the day before Jose Mourinho was sacked. The Chelsea manager was at training that day and the Fabregas matter was dealt with at the time, with no club action being taken against him.

Musonda, an attacking midfielder, is a Belgium Under 21s player and impressed on Monday night during Chelsea Under 21s’ victory over Middlesbrough.

Musonda wants regular first-team football, preferably at Stamford Bridge, and is anxious to impress new boss Guus Hiddink. However, he is prepared to leave on a temporary basis.

Queens Park Rangers’ new boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is keen to take Musonda on loan when the transfer window opens next month and watched him against Boro. Representatives from Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar were also in attendance at Cobham.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti insists a lack of motivation from Chelsea players cost Jose Mourinho his job last week. - Daily Mail
