London – Pavel Pogrebnyak's hat-trick and Clint Dempsey's double steered Fulham to a 5-0 rout of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday in the Premier League.

Pogrebnyak took his goal tally to five in three games since joining on loan from Stuttgart in January while Dempsey now has 12 for the season.

A third straight win lifted Martin Jol's Fulham to eighth as Wolves slipped back into the bottom three.

Fulham's opener came through Pogrebnyak's header from Damien Duff's corner in the 36th minute and his second before the break was a powerful right-foot finish from Andrew Johnson's cross.

Either side of Dempsey's goals, Pogrebnyak completed his hat-trick in the 61st. Wayne Hennessey could only parry Johnson's shot and the Russian turned home the rebound. – Sapa-AP
