Curibita, Brazil – Spain international Pepe Reina says he is returning to Liverpool next season unless a last-minute solution is achieved.

Reina transferred to Napoli last season after the arrival of goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who has become manager Brendon Rodgers' No. 1 'keeper.

Unless Napoli decides to keep the 31-year-old Reina, he'll return to Anfield where he has spent the majority of his career.

Reina tells The Associated Press, “I have to (return). I have two years left on my contract at Liverpool.”

Reina left the door open for a move saying, “first of all I have to go back and then we'll see what happens.”

Reina made 30 Serie A appearances for Napoli, which finished third to qualify for the Champions League while also wining the Italian Cup. – Sapa-AP
