Rio Ferdinand has taunted the Chelsea fans who gave him a torrid time over the John Terry-Anton Ferdinand race row at Stamford Bridge, claiming: “That's like fuel to me”.
“I got booed by the cfc fans,” read Ferdinand's latest tweet. “Well done guys thanks for inspiring me & the lads! That's like fuel to me! TeamSpirit.”
Ferdinand's smug response came after an epic encounter which saw Manchester United recover from a 3-0 deficit in spectacular style to level and save a point.
“It's two points lost,” said Wayne Rooney, a double penalty scorer in the fightback.
“We understand that, but after being 3-0 down - the City players at home must have liked that - we enjoyed the way we fought back.
“A lot of teams might have put their heads down and accepted defeat, but we never put our heads down.” – Evening Herald
