Manchester - Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng scored the first goal of the 2014-15 Premier League season when he put his side 1-0 up at Manchester United on Saturday.

The South Korea international, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland, steered a pass from Gylfi Sigurdsson into the bottom-right corner from the edge of the box in the 28th minute at Old Trafford.

The goal was a setback for new United manager Louis van Gaal in his first competitive game at the club.

United finished in seventh place in the Premier League last season - their lowest finish since 1990.
