Ulloa threat to quit Foxes

Claudio Ranieri is fighting potential rifts at Leicester with Leonardo Ulloa breaking ranks by insisting on a January transfer if his game time does not increase.

Ulloa, who played a vital role in Leicester winning the Premier League last season, has not started this season — even when the manager made 10 changes for the 5-0 Champions League defeat at Porto on Wednesday.

‘It is strange for me because last season I had good minutes and some games and now it is more difficult,’ said Ulloa. ‘I am waiting for the window.’

Ranieri has urged his squad to stick together, with Leicester two points and two places above the relegation zone.

Asked whether success had gone to players’ heads, Ranieri replied: ‘Yes, but the players look at the table and know where we are. That brings them down to earth and now we have to react, everybody. The success has gone. We have to do a lot more.’
