Reports from Britain suggest that Manchester United will sack manager David Moyes.

Moyes was selected by Sir Alex Ferguson to succeed him as manager of the Old Trafford outfit and was handed a six-year contract.

But, things haven’t gone according to plan for Moyes or the United board, with United suffering an unprecedented eleven Premier League defeats. The latest being the 2-0 defeat to Moyes’ old club Everton.

Moyes has come under increasing pressure from United supporters, with fans paying for a banner which flew over Old Trafford ahead of their game against Aston Villa which read: 'Wrong One - Moyes Out'.

The defeat against Everton meant that any chance United had of qualifying for the Champions League went out the window.

United have looked bereft of any confidence under Moyes, who has battled to work out what his best XI is.

Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal, who is stepping down after the World Cup in Brazil, is thought to be in the running for the job. - Staff Reporter
