LONDON - Diego Costa has taunted Chelsea by partying in an Atletico Madrid shirt and telling teammate Cesc Fabregas to "give Conte a hug", in reference to club manager Antonio Conte.

The striker, who is pushing for a move back to the Spanish club after falling out with manager Antonio Conte, upped the ante on Tuesday during a live Instagram video broadcast.

Costa is in Lagarto, Brazil, having been excused from pre-season training by Chelsea and learning from Conte last month that he is not in his plans.

Earlier during his holiday, the 28-year-old was pictured quad biking. And now he has filmed friends chatting and drinking at a party, before turning the camera on himself to reveal the 2013-14 Atletico shirt.

Fabregas posted a laughing emoji in a comment and Costa responded by telling his teammate to give Conte a hug.

The stunt will surely hasten Costa’s exit from Stamford Bridge, but it remains to be seen whether he can join Atletico given the Spanish side’s current transfer embargo.
