London – Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is refusing to rule out the possibility of signing club great Thierry Henry on loan for the second straight season.

Wenger says Friday “I've not lost interest in him ... but I haven't spoken about it with him at all.”

Henry spent two months on loan at the Premier League side midway through last season, scoring two goals - both matchwinners. He scored a club-record 226 goals in his first spell at Arsenal from 1999-2007.

The 35-year-old Henry is currently training with Arsenal during the offseason in Major League Soccer, where he plays for the New York Red Bulls.

Wenger says “he has had a second spell at the club that was very successful. You have to be cautious that it's not one time too many.” – Sapa-AP
