Cape Town – With less than a month to go to the resumption of the Absa Premiership season, Ajax Cape Town are eager to get back into action after a mid-season break which took in the festive season and the upcoming 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, which will get underway next weekend.

They will return to competitive action on February 7 when they play away to Bidvest Wits in Johannesburg on what will be the first day of top-flight action for the New Year.

Ajax currently sit in ninth place on the Absa Premiership log with 18 points from 15 matches. They are just one point off the top half of the table and a mere seven from log leaders SuperSport United.

The Urban Warriors enjoyed a strong end to the year 2016, winning five of their last six matches to establish themselves as one of the form teams in the PSL.

Stanley Menzo’s side will hope to continue where they left off when they face the Clever Boys for what is sure to be an epic encounter.
