Cape Town – Kaizer Chiefs are steadily starting to increase the tempo as they prepare to host Premiership log-leaders Bidvest Wits at the Cape Town Stadium on December 19 in what has been dubbed the Cape of Peace and Love festival.

This match will be one of three fixtures the Amakhosi will play at their alternate venue and it should be a humdinger as matches between the two sides have always provided great entertainment for fans.

After the encounter, Chiefs will also welcome Platinum Stars to the scenic venue on January 24 while a contest against SuperSport United is also on the cards for February 20.

Speaking ahead of the Cape of Love & Peace visit, Marketing Director Jessica Motaung said: “We are geared up for Cape Town. This is history in the making and that’s why we are pulling all stops to make it memorable for our supporters.”

Several activities will be organised in the build-up to the Wits encounter.

“We have planned a number of events,” confirmed Motaung.

“These include Roadshows where management and selected players will get up close and personal with our supporters. We have added soccer clinics, which are part of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme. The clinics will be conducted by some of our top players.”

Christmas will come early for the people of Gugulethu, Khayelitsha and surrounding areas as the Kaizer Chiefs Vodacom roadshows will be hosted on their doorstep.

Supporters are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to buy authentic merchandise at the roadshows courtesy of KC Retail.
