Bloemfontein Celtic have announced on Wednesday that Luc Eymael will appeal the finding of the Premier Soccer League’s Dispute Resolution Chamber.

The PSL’s DRC on Tuesday ordered Eymael to return to his former club, Polokwane City, despite the Belgian having signed a contract with Bloemfontein Celtic recently.

Eymael joined Phunya Sele Sele just a day after announcing that he was quitting Polokwane City, due to alleged interference in team matters by club bosses.

Polokwane approached the PSL with a grievance against Eymael, and the governing body ruled in their favour on Tuesday.

In the meantime, Eymael has been training the Celtic side, but was not registered by the PSL as their official coach due to the disciplinary process that was taking place.

This meant that Eymael could not sit on the Celtic bench during matches, and he resorted to sending cellphone messages and making phone calls to his support staff with regards to tactics and substitutions.

Celtic chief executive Khumbulani Konco told Independent Media on Tuesday that he was still consulting the club’s legal team to decide on whether to appeal the outcome of the PSL DRC, and that step has now been taken.
