Johannesburg - Pitso Mosimane is extremely peeved that he now has to deal with a fine from the PSL, following a tussle his side got involved in with SuperSport United ahead of their MTN8 quarter-final clash a month ago.

The two sides got involved in a heated debate as to which side sit on, as both insisted to use the left-handed side of the pitch for their warm-up session ahead of their match.

Mosimane insisted that his team was not at fault to protest, and that he had the Fifa rules to backup his argument.

“I don’t like surprises,” Mosimane said, following their 2-0 win over Polokwane City in the Telkom Knockout on Friday. “I’m not going to be told where to sit on match day. This (their last 16 clash against City) was our home match, and where did I sit?

"I sat on the right. In that match they wanted me to sit on the left. So which one is it? Where are you supposed to sit in your home games? Is it left or right?

“(The Fifa) documents clearly states that Team A should sit on the left and Team B should sit on the right. Even after this (Telkom Knockout) draw, I know where my team will be sitting.

"There’s no need for any Fifa official to come and tell me where to sit on match day because I know. I was in the (2010 Fifa) World Cup, remember? I’m going to fight this one.”

The Mamelodi Sundowns coach added that some of the Stadia’s dressing rooms in the country were not up to standards, as some vary in size.

Mosimane further argued that he would find it extremely difficult to use the locker room on the left at Lucas Moripe Stadium, provided if it was his home game of course, as it is not equal in size with the one on the right.

“Have you been into the dressing rooms of this stadium (Lucas Moripe),” Mosimane asked a question to the assembled media. “The one on the left is extremely small in size and so, now I must go and sit in a small locker room in my home match.

"Another thing is that, our stadia must be compliant. The locker rooms must be equal in size. It must never be a struggle whether you are sitting on the left or on the right.”

“But having said that,” Jingles added. “This thing of me being fined for warm-upping on the left (in their match against SuperSport), or on the right, we are going to see a movie here.”

Meanwhile, Mosimane said he was extremely pleased with how his charges played on the night, and that some off his new players, like Sibusiso Vilakazi for example, still needed more time to adjust in the team.
