Berlin – France winger Franck Ribery is rated as doubtful for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier away to Belarus, according to his club Bayern Munich.
The 30-year-old Ribery played the full 90 minutes of France's goalless draw with Georgia in Tbilisi on Friday, which was the fifth game in succession Didier Deschamps' side failed to score.
Ribery sat out training over the weekend with a strained buttock and is not optimistic of his chances of playing Belarus with France second in the group and three points behind leaders Spain.
“There has been a scan, I am in pain, I can't say that I am 100 percent fit. I hope that I can play,” said Ribery on the Bayern website. – Sapa-AFP
