Rome – AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato is set to return to his home country Brazil in a transfer to Corinthians Sao Paulo, the Gazzetta dello Sport paper reported on Thursday.

Gazzetta said that Milan were ready to accept Corinthians' offer of 15 milllion euros (19.8 million dollars) and quoted vice-president Adriano Galliano as saying talks between the clubs were “positive.”

The transfer deal is reportedly to be finalised before the end of the year.

Pato, 23, came to Milan in 2007 from Porto Alegre but after early success has been plagued by injuries. He played only 11 games in the past season and has just four appearances in the current campaign. – Sapa-dpa
