Manchester, England – Nemanja Vidic could be set to make his long-awaited return from injury in Manchester United's midweek Champions league match against CFR Cluj, putting 18 months of intermittent injuries behind him.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says “It would be nice to play him on Wednesday, I wouldn't be afraid of that”.
Ferguson acknowledged Vidic's wisdom in knowing when the best time to return would be. He says “He has the experience to know what's best for him and know when the time is right to come back in the team.”
United have already qualified from their Champions league group, so it wouldn't be a pressurised game. However, the following Sunday United take on rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, and Vidic's presence would be a boost. – Sapa-AP
