SuperSport United on Wednesday beat the transfer window deadline to add former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates midfielder Stanton "Stiga" Fredericks to their stable on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Fredericks will join his new team-mates in training on Thursday in preparation for their crunch Castle Premier League match at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday (3.45pm).
A swap deal involving Fredericks and former United defender Tony Coyle is believed to have been struck between United and Pirates with Coyle going joining the Buccaneers.
After a successful stint with Chiefs, Fredericks joined Russian first division side FC Moscow, but was released after making a handful of starts in his year-long stay.
