Johannesburg - Kevin Anderson has dropped out of the top 50 in the world for the first time in five years in the latest ATP rankings released on Monday.

Anderson fell four spots to number 52, to mark the first time he has not held a place inside the top 50 since he entered the tennis elite for the first time in February 2011.

Anderson, 30, reached a career high of 10th in the world in October 2015. On the doubles side, Raven Klaasen maintained his 15th place in the doubles rankings. Chanel Simmonds is the top-ranked women's singles player at 416th in the world. Simmonds also holds top spot in the doubles at 259th.
