Berlin - Olympic tennis champion Andy Murray achieved his highest-ever ranking as he moves to third in the men's tennis rankings issued on Tuesday by the ATP.
The Briton, who on Monday won his first Grand Slam event after beating Novak Djokovic for the US Open, traded places with the injured Rafael Nadal. Murray has 8 570 points, while Nadal stands on 7 515.
Switzerland's Roger Federer holds on to his top spot with 11 805 points from Serbian Novak Djokovic, who has 10 470.
