Berlin – Briton’s Andy Murray has jumped up to second in the men’s tennis rankings issued Monday by the ATP while Serbia’s Novak Djokovic remains top of the pile.
Murray ended an eight-game losing streak by defeating Djokovic in the Montreal final on Sunday but he was already guaranteed to skip Roger Federer into third. The Swiss rested last week ahead of a return at the Cincinnati event.
Djokovic leads on 14 265 points ahead of Murray on 8 660 and Federer
on 8 065.
The only other change in the top 10 saw Rafael Nadal climb one spot to eighth with Marin Cilic dropping to ninth.
