Bad Gastein – Germany’s Andrea Petkovic won the fourth WTA Tour title of her career at Bad-Gastein on Sunday, defeating American Shelby Rogers 6-3, 6-3 in the final.

Ranked 20th in the world, following her run into the semi-finals of the French Open last month, Petkovic won the Austrain claycourt tournament for the second time after 2009.

She had little difficulty in seeing off the challenge of 22-year-old Rogers a surprise finalist ranked 147th in the world. – Sapa-AFP
