Johannesburg - South Africa's wheelchair tennis player Lucas Sithole advanced to the quad's singles semi-finals at the Open de France in Paris defeating Italian Antonio Raffaele 6-1 6-3 on Friday.

Sithole, ranked number two in the world, was scheduled to play the first semi-final against Australian Dylan Alcott on centre court on Saturday.

In the other singles semi-final, world number one ranked David Wagner would play Andy Lapthorne of Great Britain.

In the quad's doubles semi-final match, the American top seeds Wagner and Greg Hasterok defeated 7-6 5-7 6-2 Sithole and Alcott in a three set battle on Friday. - Sapa
