Berlin – Former world number one Caroline Wozniacki moved back into the women's top 10 in the rankings released by the sport's governing body on Monday.

The Dane, who was hammered 6-2, 6-1 by Nadia Petrova of Russia in the final of the Tournament of Champions in Sofia on the weekend, moves a place to 10th in the final rankings of the year.

Victoria Azarenka leads the otherwise unchanged top 10 with 10,595 points from Russian Maria Sharapova.

The Belarussian last week became the 11th player to top the year-ending rankings since they were introduced in 1975.

WTA rankings as of November 5 (previous ranking in parenthesis):
