Johannesburg – President Jacob Zuma arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday and will watch the World Cup final between Germany and Argentina, the presidency said.

He was invited by Brazil’s President Dilma Rouseff, his spokesman Mac Maharaj said in a statement.

Zuma was in Brazil primarily to attend the sixth Brics summit in Fortaleza on Tuesday and a retreat with Latin American states in Brasilia on Wednesday.

“We congratulate the government and the people of Brazil for the successful tournament and look forward to an exciting game,” Zuma said in the statement. – Sapa
