More than a week after Generations: The Legacy actor Rapulana Seiphemo was discharged from Milpark Hospital after an accident to recover at home, the police are still tight-lipped about the identity of alleged hijackers and details about the drama.

Three people died in the car crash on February 14 when two vehicles collided on the N14 near Diepsloot, north of Joburg. While it was difficult to obtain the identity of the third victim, the alleged hijacker, who is under police guard in hospital, has since been linked to two other crimes.

Captain Thekiso Mofokeng could neither deny nor confirm that the alleged hijacker had been charged with two other crimes. He said the investigating officer had asked that the police stop communicating with the media about the case.

“The investigating officer has promised to release a statement as soon as he completes the investigation,” Mofokeng said.

Seiphemo could not be reached for comment, but Generations’ publicist Gaaratwe Mokhethi confirmed that he had been discharged on February 20.

The funeral for two of those who died, Donovan van Zyl and Jacobus Coertze, was held at the Evangelies Gereformeerde Kerk, in Krugersdorp, on Tuesday.
