Ever wanted to cook like a chef? Join Paul and Julie Gerntholtz to learn the basic techniques that will set your cooking above the rest. They will cover cooking with meat, fish and vegetables, making hot and cold sauces and how to use them, as well as dessert and pastry techniques.

Discover the pleasure of cooking your favourite Thai snack food. All ingredients will be explained and you will be guided through the simple process of making interesting new snacks for cocktail parties and starters. On the menu are deep-fried noodles with vegetables, wonton parcels, satay, crispy spring rolls, Thai barbeque chicken, fragrant squid, steamed mussels with lemongrass and banana fritters.

Jenny Kay (aka Angela Day) and Sasha Zambetti are passionate about vegetarian food and have been testing delicious recipes which they will share with you. We will show you that excluding meat from your diet doesn’t mean you have to eat bland, boring food. Prepare nutritious dishes using tofu, quinoa, wholegrains and seasonal vegetables.

ARTISAN BREADS

Artisan breads are true hand-crafted breads. Learn how to mix, ferment, shape and bake your own hand-crafted loaves. Maatje Vollmer will help you make rustic breads like sourdough loaves that are healthy and natural. Basic bread dough, country loaves and rye bread will be made.

Brigitte Tomma, who studied gastronomic science in Italy, will guide you through regions of Italy – Venice, Rome, Naples and Turin. Dishes from these regions are risotto alla Veneziana, oven-baked calzone, semi-freddo al Limone, pizza Napolitana, panzerotti fritti as well as home-made pasta to make ravioli or tortellini.
