JOBURG gospel fans are in for a treat next month – Grammy Award-winning US gospel stars Donnie McClurkin and CeCe Winans.

The duo will light it up at the Grace Bible Church in Pimville, Soweto, on June 2.

It’s the latest offering from events company World Gospel PowerHouse, which has brought many international stars into the country over the past years.

“We started back in 2010 with Shirley Ceaser, then Juanita Bynum last year, and now we are bringing the giants,” World Gospel PowerHouse president Zanele Mbokazi said.

“This will be a spectacular worship night, with the Word being provided by Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule.”

McClurkin, 53, has won three Grammys, 10 Stellar Awards, two BET Awards, two Soul Train Awards and one Dove Award.

He has also appeared in numerous TV productions.

His songs include Great Is Your Mercy, Stand, Didn’t You Know, I Call You Faithful and many more.

Winans, 48, also has several awards on her shelf, including Grammys and Stellars.

She is also an author, actress and talk show host.

South Africans can expect performances of all her biggest hits, like Mercy Said No, Throne Room, Holy Spirit, Come, Fill This Place, Great Is Thy Faithfulness and more.

The pair will also perform in Durban on May 31 at the Durban Christian Centre.

Tickets range between R400 and R700 at Computicket outlets. - The Star
