Patricia Smith writes: Thank you for making sure that the street lights in Kathleen Street, Florida are working.
However, I have lived there for 35 years and there has always been a street light in front of No 45. In August 2011, a car drove into it, causing all the lights in the street to go out. The street lamp was never replaced. Why does it take so long to have street lights repaired when we are pay our rates and taxes each month?
Smith writes again: My heartfelt thanks to all those involved – all the lights are working and it is a pleasure to walk down the street again.
René Sidley writes: Many, many months ago, the on- and off-ramps at Glenhove were made larger, and, at the time, the street lights were disconnected. To date, they have not been switched on, and the on-ramp, going north, is such a bad corner, with no lights, that I am amazed there have been no serious accidents. This was reported about four or five months ago, to no avail.
Sidley writes again: The lights have been fixed.
Brian Echstein of Castle Drive Hill, Northcliff, writes: Please help me get the street light outside my house repaired. The light comes on at night, and as soon as the lamp warms up, it switches off.
Then when it has cooled down, it comes on again. This carries on the whole night. I received an SMS on January 5 saying this had been resolved. It has not.
Echstein writes again: Thank you. It appears that City Power has repaired the fault.
