In his book The Cricketer Who Laughed, legendary English cricketer and one of the fastest bowlers to ever play the game, Frank “Typhoon” Tyson, tells of a time when he lay relaxing in a hot bath after a long day in the field.
Suddenly the team’s joker dashed into the bathroom and poured a bucket of cold water over Frank.
Bent on revenge, Frank climbed out of the bath, found a large bucket, filled it with ice-cold water and set off in pursuit of his tormentor.
To his surprise, Frank found the joker sitting resignedly in the changeroom fully clothed.
Gleefully Frank poured the bucket of water over the hapless man, who uttered not a single word of protest.
Satisfied that he had exacted suitable revenge, Frank returned to his bath.
A little while later Frank went to his locker to get dressed, only to find his clothes sopping wet.
At the time of his dousing the joker had been wearing Frank’s clothes.
